Will the next number one be a bootleg?

Well, obviously it won’t. But there is a new move towards selling concerts on cd and download minutes after the band have left stage, to combat bootleggers.

Bands such as The Feeling and Keane are already experimenting with the idea. Of course, it may soon be possible to score a number one with a live version of a song, or a gig to take the number one album spot.
